Join the Rhody Surf Team – Summer 2026

Looking for a summer job on the beach?

Rhody Surf is hiring surf instructors for the 2026 season. This is not your typical summer job - you’ll be in the water, working with great people, and part of a high-energy team all summer long.

What the job looks like

• Teach beginner and intermediate surf lessons

• Work with kids, families, and small groups

• Spend your days outside on the beach and in the ocean

• Be part of a fun, reliable, team-oriented crew

Flexible schedule

Most instructors work 2–4 consistent days per week (15–30 hours).

You can choose:

• Morning shifts (8:30–11:30)

• Full-day shifts

• Or a mix of both

We prioritize applicants who can commit to a consistent weekly schedule.

Pay

• $18–20/hour based on experience

• Tips

This is a great fit if you are:

• A strong swimmer and comfortable in the ocean

• A surfer or interested in improving your surfing

• Good with people and enjoy working with kids

• Looking for a flexible, active summer job

• Able to commit to consistent weekly availability

Bonus if you have:

• Surfing, coaching, or teaching experience

• Lifeguard, CPR, or First Aid certification

• Camp, sports, or group leadership experience
